alex's story

It all started when…

Really, it all started when Alex was just a few weeks old! The whole, "it's in your blood" thing? Yeah, that applies here! From the time she was just a few weeks old, Alex spent the majority of her time at the shop, espeically growing up, as she watched her dad while he worked, and helped when she could! At the age of 15, Alex and her parents began to build her car and at 16 her and her mom took it on Drag Week 2013, and as they say, the rest is history!! Alex's passion for the high performance automtovie industry continues to grow. Check out the video to the left to get full detailed story on how it all started as well as an update on where everything is at now!

Our Personal cars

Be on the lookout for any of these cars! Between Alex & Dennis there is quite a few cars they can take their pick to have fun with. We work together on every car, each person with their own tasks. BTW, these are our favorite street cars (and by street cars, we mean race cars as well, #becausestreetcar right?)

Badmaro

This is Alex's. Badmaro was street driven everyday for 3 years to high school, and even then it was making over 1,200 hp! Bad is truly the definition of a street car with it's power steering, power windows, full steel body, full interior, stereo, and oh yeah, don't forget the A/C! Even at the weight of 3,850 pounds, Badmaro has run it's fastest pass, piloted by Alex, of 8.35 @ 165 MPH. Badmaro is currently powered by a 427 tall deck LSX block, with Crower internals capable of handling 2,000+ hp, with AFR 6-bolt heads and twin Borg-Warner 69/73mm turbos. Badmaro still has a nearly stock 4L80E trans to transfer all of that power and it is all controlled through a Holley Dominator EFI system. Currently the car is only certified to 8.50 (yes, we know she outran the cert) but future plans to upgrade the cage have been discussed, but that is TBD!

Nova.jpg

rETROnOVA

Dennis has been the owner of this 1972 Nova since he was 16. The car sat for many years, but about 3 years ago, he built it for Drag Week. Dennis built a motor using many parts that he already had lying around and added a pair of BorgWarner 88mm turbos, and when dynoing made over 2,400 hp. This car, like Badmaro is incredibly heavy. Dennis was determined to get the Nova into the 7's  on Drag Week, but with a Turbo 400 tranny that wasn't nearly strong enough, Dennis was unable to finish Drag Week and his fastest pass was an 8.00 @ 176 MPH. After taking a break from the Nova for a few years, Dennis is currently building a new motor and a beefed up tranny. Be on the look out for details on this build as he preps for Drag Week 2018, because the car is coming back better than ever!

THe 55

The 55 was built many years ago for the purpose of going Nostalgia Gasser racing. When Dennis built the Nova the first time, however, the naturally aspirated BBC was stripped out of the 55 and under-went a re-build and was placed in the Nova with turbos. The 55 sat for a few years with out a power-plant. In preparing for Drag Week 2017, Dennis decided he wanted to bring the 55 back out and enter the Gasser class, but this time with fuel injection and with yet another re-build of it's old motor, but this time with a blower. The 55 almost finished Drag Week despite a few GIANT wheelies (Alex's fault, oops) that bent lots of stuff, but on the last day, due to a torched head with no way to repair it, the 55 was unable to finish the week. BUT, it was a blast to ride in and definetly put on a good show!
